Who really sells the tickets?
Worldwide box office credited to every actor and director, ranked by the period you pick. Counted once per film. Every figure sourced and rated.
How this works
A film counts once towards a person’s total, no matter how many credits they have on it (director, writer and actor on the same title still adds up only once). A film’s money lands in the period its release date falls in. Box office coverage varies by person, so every row shows how many films the total is actually built from. Read the methodology for the full detail.
Last 10 years · vs the 10 years before
Films first released, or re-released, between 2 November 2016 and 1 November 2026. Compared with 2 November 2006 to 1 November 2016.
Last 10 years: 30 people listed, 27 ranked.
Why these totals might differ from headlines you have read: by default this site counts every credited film appearance. Widely reported “highest-grossing actor” figures usually count lead and lead-ensemble roles only. Both are legitimate, they answer different questions. Showing 30 of 30 people currently in the registry, those with a film released in this period. Each film’s gross to date counts in the period it first opened. We hold no re-release split for any film yet, so every film counts whole in the period it first opened. Read the methodology for how gross, coverage, hit rate and confidence tiers are calculated.
